It is set in a Sacramento radio station and features talk show host Shauna J. Bogart as the amateur sleuth who is called upon to solve the killing of a fellow shock talker. The author, Joyce Krieg, is a former Sacramento resident who based Murder Off Mike on her experiences working at KFBK and attending the Jazz Jubilee as a long-time fan.
